Beautiful is a design studio set up by creative director, Roy Poh. Nominated by IAS as 15 most influential Creative Directors in Singapore for 2006 & 2007, Roy was one of the founders and creative directors of Kinetic, one of the most highly-awarded agencies in the region, for almost 8 years. He has since left to start Beautiful on his own. Roy has proven that good work need not be given up just to survive in today's market with awards like D&AD, Oneshow, Art Director's Club, Cannes, Clio, YoungGuns, Communication Arts, Singapore Creative Circle Awards, Singapore Designers Award and many more of his projects have been featured in renowned industry periodicals.

Roy has also been invited to judge at both international and local award shows like the Australia YoungGuns Design & Advertising award, the Singapore Crowbar Student Design award, the Singapore Creative Circle Award, Young Asian Designers Award, the D&AD Global Award in London. And most recently he headed the design category for the Crowbar award.

He constantly devote his personal time to the creative industry by tutoring students from the Australia AWARD school, contributing his services to the Singapore Design Council and Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore, on various advisory panels for local art schools, participating in charity events through his designs and supporting the Singapore Design Festivals.

Roy was also invited to give a talk on ‘Creativity in Singapore’ together with Minister of Communications and the Arts, Dr Lee Boon Yang in London. Most recently, Roy, together with 6 other industry creative leaders, founded The Design Society. A Singapore registered, non-profit organisation dedicated to the goals of raising the general standard of design in Singapore, and growing its reach internationally. The focused on Applied Graphic Design and its contributions to Singapore visual culture and society in general. Seeking to inspire local designers and engage the public through greater understanding and appreciation for good design.
